Description

Inner wheel houses are often rusted or bent on the lower edges so it makes sense to replace them when working on the outers. replacing or repairing inners is also a good idea when replacing a trunk floor. our inner houses contain all the bends, flanges, holes, etc of originals. Not to be confused with the outer wheelhouse this is the part seen from the inside of the trunk and mates to the outer wheelhouse.

The rear wheel openings on your vehicle are constantly sprayed with salt and road debris as you drive. It’s only a matter of time before the mix of water, salt, and mud causes corrosion to form. Before you know it, you see the dreaded paint bubbles starting to form around the lip of the rear quarter, by this time the outer wheelhouse and inner may already be compromised. The most common area for the inner wheelhouse to rust away is at the lower rear corner and where it attaches to side of the truck floor, both areas are visible by looking through the trunk opening or behind the rear wheel.

All of our inner wheelhouse panels are constructed of heavy gauge stamped steel that meets or exceeds the thickness of the original body panel that it’s replacing. The stamping process starts with a 3D scan of an OEM part, which means that these aftermarket panels will be an exact match to the original part’s shape. Since the panels are an exact match, the old panel will need to be cut out so that the new one can be welded in its place.

Each panel has an EDP coating for additional corrosion protection. The e-coating leaves a black finish that can be scuffed and painted over. For best finishing results we recommend scuffing the e-coat, priming, and then top coating with an automotive grade paint.

When you're ready to repair or replace the body panels on your restoration project, look no further than Body Shop Price for the best quality parts on the market.
